Welcome to our small farm!

We hope you will take a few minutes and let us share with

you some of the great animals, and lifestyle that we have come to love.

At long last we have EMU eggs!
They are very heavy aprox 2 lbs and taste as good as any chicken egg. Just much larger. Aprox. 8 times.
Blue (Our Male) is not sure what to do with them yet. He is the only male with 3 females. Hopefully he will lay on some before the laying period is over. However we will be happy with fresh eggs and craft potential as they are quite pretty. The shells are aprox 2 ML. thick and the membrane is very thick and rubbery as well. They can take quite a beating and not sustain any damage.Blue should be sitting on them and turning them 10 times a day for 2 mths in order to hatch the chicks. We have been told that they can be incubated but the incubator would be a monster compared to the one we use for chickens. We shall see...

Meet  LEO our newest addition to the farm.

Llamas are   from South America and have roots going back 12 million years!

He is quite happy and making friends with our Emus!

Bart, from bottle to freezer in one year. Read about him under Cattle

Emus are funny, and very social, we have had a blast with these guys for several years. Not not money makers, but great entertainment.

Blue & Abby staying cool.

Twisted Acres at Volusia County Fair, along with Calkins Electric purchased pig for the freezer. Thanks Jeremy! Great Job! Off the chain meat! And special thanks to Billy Calkins for his sponsorship!
