When my wife said that she wanted Pot Belly Pigs my first reaction was "Cripes! what will we do with them? We can't eat them." Then along came Huey and Duey. They were misfits and funny as the day is long. We would often let them free range and would catch them rooting and bathing in our small fish pond. Soon the girls arrived. Thelma and lousie. Then babies started becoming rather abundant. We had two litters at one time and were really thinking of vietnamese recipes.....NOT!!

Habitat They do great indoors or out, but are much happier if they have a place to go that is thiers.
House training is easy! They learn almost immediately. A small box with sand works nicely. They love to snack and lounge around the house.
Harnesses vary between pets and livestock depending on the age. They readily adapt to this and are also very clean. (Kevin as a baby)

Neutering Males
Ideally, domestic baby pigs should be neutered before they are 21 days old. Because they are easier handle, heal faster, and are less stressed by the procedure while very young. This recommendation refers only to domestic pigs typically raised for pork. Some examples of domestic pigs are Yorkshire, Berkshire, and Hampshire. The recommended age to neuter, a pot-bellied pig is from four to six months old. While the basic procedure is the same, these pets have health concerns not common to the domestic pig. Therefore, these pet pigs typically require sutures and antibiotic treatment after neutering. Pigs of all ages can be neutered these are just the recommended ages for the healthiest and easiest outcome for the animals
